There is an ‘ingredient’ of cancer in shampoo!
Did you know that smart, stylish looking products can give you a serious disease like cancer? This claim has been made about the product of Unilever, an international company in the world. The use of 6 brands of Unilever company and 19 of its products has been feared to cause cancer.
A dangerous chemical called benzene has been found in many shampoo brands of the giant company Unilever, which can cause cancer. The company has recalled several dry shampoos from the US market, including Dove, Nexxus, Suave, Tigi and Tresemmé aerosols.
Unilever’s famous product Dove Dry Shampoo in America is now being talked about in India amid the apprehensions related to cancer. However, Hindustan Unilever has reacted to this.
According to HUL (Hindustan Unilever Limited), the company neither manufactures such products in India nor sells them here. A HUL spokesperson told Business Today, “We do not manufacture or sell dry shampoos in India. Unilever US and Canada have voluntarily recalled select lot codes of dry shampoos manufactured before October 2021.”
The spokesperson said that after an internal investigation, high levels of benzene were identified in this product. It was only after this that the decision was taken to recall it from the market. Dove Dry Shampoo by Unilever is primarily sold in the US and Canada markets.
