One can also expect to see some cosmetic changes on the upcoming updated TVS Raider 125 motorcycle which includes new color options, new body graphics. However, the updated model is not expected to see any mechanical changes.
This variant of TVS Raider will benefit by adding to the company’s SmartXonnect Bluetooth module and voice assist function. With the connectivity module, the connected variant of the Raider 125 will get additional features like navigation, incoming call alert and message notification. Other information available on the display includes top speed recorder, fuel economy and range.

However, it is being said that there will not be much change in its design. The focus will be on the connected variant styling. Like LED headlight with integrated DRL, body-coloured headlight mask, body-coloured front fenders, engine cowl, split-style seats and side-slung exhaust with dual-tone finish. The color palette for the connected variant may also remain the same. The current variants of TVS Raider 125 are available in four colors – Striking Red, Blazing Blue, Wicked Black and Fiery Yellow.
The connected variant will come with the current variant with a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine. The motor mated to a five-speed gearbox will generate 11.2bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Through this, the motor is claimed to accelerate from 0-60kmph in 5.9 seconds, while the top speed is pegged at 99kmph. The suspension setup will retain the telescopic front forks and the rear mono-shock. Braking hardware will include a petal-type disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. It will also include two riding modes (Eco and Power) and an idle stop start system.
The upcoming TVS Raider 125 is expected to get an inverted 5.0-inch TFT instrument cluster with TVS SmartXonect system and Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from the technology updates, TVS may also introduce some new color shades for the motorcycle. TVS Raider 125 is currently available in Blazing Blue, Fiery Yellow, Striking Red and Wicked Black color shades. TVS was earlier supposed to introduce a new top-spec variant of the Raider 125 with a TFT instrument cluster, but that could not happen due to lack of semiconductors. Now, the company can launch it on its first anniversary.

The TVS Raider 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine with TVS’s Eco Thrust fuel injection technology. The motor produces 11.2 Bhp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. TVS Raider 125 is currently priced at Rs 90,620 ex-showroom. Once launched, the Raider 125 connected variant will take on the Hero Glamor X-Tech and Honda SP 125 in the Indian market.
