
Who can be a Mobilizer ?
Mobilizer is who can mobilize the community with resources and engage with mobility shift assay. mobilizer could increase or bring changes in the community also he or she can ensure full stage development of the community.
In other words a mobilizer is also responsible for assist senior staffs in planning meetings and do to do service at all levels. He or she create awareness of the project objectives in the community, orienting the whole project briefly, motivate the community people through group meetings brief all members on correct information related to the project goals and community self Reliance. To discuss issue with community leaders which may include traditional, religious and local political leaders, among others.
Field Based Works –
- Provide general support to the community.
- Communicate with the community people for identify the issue and privatise the problem.
- Identify local level partners to make a bridge between that project and the community people.Those who are able to connect with the community people.
- Conduct community meetings to discuss their issues and needs with community leaders and other different stakeholders.
- Disseminate correct informations fir their better understanding.
- Help community people to understand the process and respond to their queries to create a positive environment.
- Time to time reporting and monitoring their field activities for progress.
- Facilitating is the another important function of a mobilizer.
- Identify the community need to engage them in vocational courses for their earnings to be sustainable in work.
- Manage and mentoring the community groups through group meetings.
- Door to door visit for facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements.
- preparation of work plans and implementation of planned activities.
- Build the capacity of children, youth families and community to through group meetings, awareness programs and sometimes it can be done by some effective workshops.
- Awareness about women’s empowerment is also linked to some vocational trainings.
- Follow-up on commitments by the local stakeholders on their improvement.
- Informing and explaining issues better by involving local stakeholders in various workshops.
- Motivate and Support communities to identify income generation opportunities.
Offical Works –
- Take part in Planning meetings.
- Participate in planning and budgeting.
- Build a report on the basis of each work.
- Always give the co-ordinator all the updates in the field and always take some suggestions through discussions with the co-ordinator.
- Assist the senior staffs and orient the whole project.
- Celebrate National Holidays with the community people for understand the value of celebrating that perticular day. The celebration is aimed at giving joy to the people of the community, like- National Girl Child Day, Men’s Day, Women’s Day, Word Literacy Day, etc.
- Documentation is another responsibility of a mobilizer. Keep all the work of the project as a document and performing as a side service.
- Another interesting task is document the evidence based impact stories.
- Prepare a plan schedule for engaging the community in development programs and provide support to area development programmes.
Qualification Required –
Degree in any graduate/ post graduate, Bachelors In Socal Work (BSW) Masters In Social Work (MSW)Economics, Sociology, Community Development, Rural Development, Psychology & related field.
Salary
The monthly income of a mobilizer can be average 8k-15k.
